Call Number

Each book in the library has a unique call number. A call number is like an address: it identifies where the book is located in the library. Call numbers appear on the spine of books, bound periodicals, microfilm, and other items.  In CL libraries Call number is composed of Classification number and Author mark. For classification of library books and other reading material CL Libraries use Dewey decimal classification scheme (DDC). After searching your required book from the catalogue note the Call number (Classification Number and Author Mark) where, Author mark is composed of Last two alphabets of author and first alphabet of title. the arrangement of book in the shelves
